Plot

Warren Sonoda's Ham & Cheese enters the world of unknown actors looking to make it big, following the ups, downs and real, real lows of two struggling actors, Richard and Barry, as they try to make it in the cruel world of showbiz. Without an ounce of talent between the two of them and their only strength being persistence, they'll do almost anything to attain their dream, except let it go. They endure near-naked auditions, horrible television shoots, a surreal fringe theatre troupe and various jobs including dressing up like a walrus and cutting fish, all for the elusive glory of stardom. Join Kids in the Hall alumni Dave Foley and Scott Thompson, along with a superb cast who keep the fun flowing in the laugh-out loud look at the screwed-up dreams of some of the worst actors in the world.

Memorable Quotes:
"Barry Goodson: When it pours, it rains. "

"Katie Reed: We're going to be in a play together! [hugs Richard] Richard Wolanski: Ya! Katie Reed: Maybe you should take a shower and change your clothes... Richard Wolanski: Why? Katie Reed: [gestures at his upper body] It's all stinky here "

"Richard Wolanski: Ahh... I'm Fonzie! "

"Damien: HAVE YOU EVER LIVED? "

"Floyd: Get your cock off my knee. "

"Richard Wolanski: Ya, no - cos when I'm up there accepting my Macadiby Award, they're going to be, like, "How? You're so good - how did you get so good? Who taught you?" and of course then, I'll tell them - ... Tom Brennemen: You're not good Richard. You're not. Richard Wolanski: - -you're... the one... huh? Tom Brennemen: You're not, uh - good. "

"Barry Goodson: [out of work, broke, eating cereal] Now I don't know why they say eat this stuff with milk, 'cos- ah, it tastes just fine with water. "

"Beth Goodson: [upon learning her husband Barry just arbitrarily quit his telemarketing job] I mean God Barry, at least we could count on those two hundred dollars every two weeks to buy your acting supplies... now I'm going to have to pay for them too? Barry Goodson: Hey - enough about YOU. This affects ME. "

"Barry Goodson: Comedy. Is all, about.................................... timing. "

"Floyd: [trying to direct Barry how to deliver his lines] So you're on the phone, ok? Uh-huh. uh-huh - An elementary school teacher impregnanted by a blah, blah, blah, blah, blah - Got it? Barry Goodson: [Barry in the take] Uh-huh. uh-huh? Mm-hmm - An elementary school teacher impregnanted by a blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. "
