The residents of a Chicago neighborhood are given the rare opportunity to alter three inches of their lives. Matthew Scott Harris Dimension is a rare and artistic visionary tale charged with poetic energy and innovative storytelling. Loneliness and regret encompass a Chicago neighborhood, and the residents are willing to do anything to change their lives. Under divine circumstances, these people receive their wish under one condition: they can only change exactly three inches about themselves. As the narrative switches back and forth between the humorous and the tragic, it becomes clear that the choices of these characters are as diverse as their personalities. A self-conscious woman wishes to lose three inches from her aging body, an insecure man wishes for an extra three inches on himself, and a grieving mother asks for three inches to resurrect her dead son. One by one, these disenchanted characters discover that their lives can be completely altered by seemingly trivial changes.
